Marcel’s Journey
Marcel resides in Ester, Alaska, with her husband, two dogs, an umbrella cockatoo, a few roosters, and a very old goose. She moved to Alaska in 2014 from the Lower 48, bringing with her over 18 years of experience in accounting and management for small nonprofit organizations. During that time, she also provided consulting services to nonprofits nationwide.

After relocating to Alaska, Marcel spent over four years as a Controller for a large organization. While the corporate environment offered valuable experience, she realized her true passion lay in the small business world, where she could prioritize people and make a meaningful impact.

Returning to her roots, Marcel drew on her extensive experience and degree in Accounting and Business Management to help her husband build a successful business. She further enhanced her expertise by earning her Enrolled Agent (EA) credential, which enables her to represent clients before the IRS. Over the years, she has successfully guided individuals and businesses through complex tax situations and resolved numerous IRS challenges.

In 2019, Marcel founded Treasure Finances, a company dedicated to empowering small businesses with expert financial services, tax guidance, and a people-first approach. Today, Treasure Finances proudly serves a diverse range of clients, including those in food service, the cannabis industry, and several other service sectors.
